With each of the GPV events, a subsequent set of affirmations will be developed, summarising the interactions between scholars and further reflections by the leadership of City Harvest Church. These affirmations will be made available here through event videos. A partnership with Regnum Books UK will also allow the proceedings to be published in both print and open access formats. Our goal is to facilitate the continual expansion of rich Pentecostal theological reflection, available globally and accessible to everyone.
All digital resources from this event and future collaborations will be hosted on GPVoices.org.
We resolve to view effective Pentecostal leadership as a contextual, complex, and relationally dynamic process where influence is granted through co-discernment with the congregation.
We resolve to recognise the Spirit’s workings beyond the church, even among other religions, without compromising on our Christological beliefs and succumbing to theological pluralism and universalism.
We resolve to actively pursue ecumenical dialogue and relationships to offer a united and credible Christian witness in a world shaped by secularization, pluralism, and polarization.
We resolve to live as Spirit-bearers, embodying the ongoing Pentecost as God’s sanctuary in the world—loving both humanity and the non-anthropic other as signs of creation’s redemption and reconciliation in Christ, that God may be all in all.
We resolve to develop a balanced doctrine of demonology and healthy deliverance practices in our Pentecostal communities.
We resolve to integrate practical, Spirit-empowered Christianity, rooted in biblical and theological foundations, with concrete, incarnational engagement with society for authentic transformation.
We resolve to fully identify with the life and gospel of Christ, the scandal of the divine Word in the flesh, and to manifest the Spirit-filled life as His corporate Body in the public domain by living out the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in our own authentic human brokenness.
We resolve to affirm the role of the Paraclete in the midst of persecution and opposition, and recognize that the church is a prophetic community, together with its ecclesial life and charismata manifestations, testifies of hope and eschatological salvation.
